BIFA - About Us
Barnes Independent Financial Advice 'BIFA' is an Independent Financial Advisory practice with 19 years' experience in financial services, catering for all clients' financial needs. BIFA is regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is authorised to provide advice on Life Assurance, Pensions, Unit Trusts and Investments. BIFA is also authorised to provide mortgage advice, which is now regulated by the FSA.
BIFA clients receive regular reviews and important related information. Today's appropriate and sound financial advice may not necessarily stand in 5 years time. Both your circumstances and the investment markets may alter. It is of the utmost importance that your contracts are reviewed on a regular basis otherwise, by the time any shortfall or adverse investment performance is identified, it may well be too late.
If your endowment contracts had been regularly reviewed from commencement by a qualified advisor, you would have been advised of any potential shortfall affecting the repayment of your mortgage. Such a review would have highlighted any necessary amendments to remedy the situation.
If you pay premiums and neglect to regularly monitor the contracts as markets change, this can lead to problems. It is not the role of the Regulators to question the performance of a contract, only the advice given about the contract. A claim for compensation due to bad performance will not normally succeed.
BIFA will review your existing contracts and the funds in which your money is invested in order to maximise their potential before making any recommendations in respect of new products. Remember the value of your investments may fall as well as rise.
